To Our Valued Patients and Friends of EMA,
Recognizing that this COVID-19 outbreak has been difficult on many of you we again what to reassure you that we are here for you and your dental health needs. We hope you and your families are safe and healthy. As we previously noted in last week’s communication EMA has been forced to make many adjustments to our staff and daily office operations. Despite these challenges a dedicated group of staff still remains to answer your calls and help with your dental needs Mon-Thursday 9am-4pm and Fridays 9am-1pm. Our doctors have been able to handle many dental concerns through phone calls and some new telemedicine technology we are implementing. Only patients with severe pain, bleeding, swellings, and or infections are considered Emergency/Urgent Care and will be seen on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-12. Yesterday the Massachusetts Dental Society along with the Governor’s office have now pushed the new date for dental offices re-opening to Monday, May 4th for all elective dental care. Over the next few weeks, our staff will be contacting those of you scheduled for appointments during the month of April for a new appointment date after May 4th. Please contact our staff if they have left you a message so that a new appointment date can be scheduled. Given these extraordinary circumstances we all face together, please work with us in coordinating your future care. First priority when we return will be scheduling those patients who are in the most need and those who were in the midst of care that no longer can be delayed. Please visit our website emadental.com for COVID-19 updates related to the practice and your care. Finally, as we mentioned to you in our last communication your safety and health are our first priority. There have been some very promising developments with regard to patient, doctor, and staff COVID protection protocols for dentistry and all medical providers moving forward. A new in-office rapid COVID -19 test has been approved by the FDA that will give results in as little as 5 minutes. When this is available you can be sure we will have the new technology. This will be in addition to all of the enhanced personal protective equipment we are currently exploring with federal and state agencies. It is our understanding that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) will be issuing guidelines in the coming weeks for all of health care. We want to assure you all of us at EMA are doing everything we can to continue offering the best dental care in the Valley now and in the future! We sincerely wish good health to you, your families, and your loved ones.
